Investing for Income or Growth

Although bank or building society accounts should always be part of a balanced portfolio, they are not necessarily suitable for medium to long term investments and other options should be considered.

We would firstly explain the different types of risk associated with different investments (even cash deposits are exposed to certain risks) and agree the level of risk, if any, you are happy to accept. We would then assess your current investments, agree your objective, whether it is income, growth or a combination of both and finally recommend a suitable portfolio. This would normally utilise different products such as ISAs, Investment Bonds, Deposit Accounts, Premium Bonds etc and be spread across different asset classes, for example Cash, Equities, Bonds and Property. We would monitor all investments on a regular basis and make changes when necessary to ensure that your objectives continue to be met.

The value of investments can go down as well as up and you could get back less than you invested.
